Family Organics pecan nut tree nursery is owned by the Amos family trust and is situated in the Newthorndale Valley about 25km outside of Magaliesburg town on the Rustenburg Road North West Province.

Our nursery pecan nut trees are grown using organic methods for the best quality trees for survival after transplanting. Trees are taken out during late July and early August. These bare-root pecan trees are packed in a unique way to ensure the best quality and freshness at transplanting.

05. the nursery

The Pecan Nut Nursery supplies about 12 000- 35 000 trees per annum into the South African pecan industry for the establishment of new pecan orchards. Varieties include Wichita, Choctaw, Mohawk, Navaho and Pawnee.

06. natural organic farming

The Pecan Nut Nursery and orchard is run using organic methods which include the use of Compost, Worm and Compost tea fertilizers (effective microbes), and cover crop legumes as well as organic mulching to save water. The irrigation system is fully automated and makes use of an Israeli desined and manufactured irrigation system
